Renuvé Expander — A round tissue expander proven over decades for two-stage breast reconstruction after mastectomy.
Filling is performed gradually via an external port connected to the expander by a thin tubing. During regular outpatient visits, physiological saline is injected through the port until the target volume is reached.

The two-stage reconstruction process
The Renuvé Expander is part of the two-stage reconstruction concept.
Phase 1
Mastectomy & expander placement
After mastectomy the Renuvé Expander is placed immediately or after completion of adjuvant therapy.
Phase 2
Gradual tissue expansion
During regular outpatient visits, physiological saline is introduced via the external port. The individual filling protocol is defined by the treating team.
Phase 3
Consolidation phase
Once the target volume is reached, the expander remains in place to consolidate the expanded tissue.
Phase 4
Implant exchange (Phase 2 — the definitive implant)
The tissue expander is exchanged for a permanent breast implant (e.g. LUNA XT, PERLE).
